Surface Preparation

A little prep goes a long way. Follow these five steps for a flawless finish.

  1. 1

    Clean

Wash off dirt, grease and residue, then let it dry.

    Details

Clean the substrate thoroughly using warm soapy water or an appropriate cleaning solution. Remove dirt, grease, oil, contaminants and other residues. Allow the surface to fully dry before proceeding.

  2. 2

    Sand

Sand glossy or hard surfaces to create a key.

    Details

Hard, smooth or glossy surfaces should be thoroughly sanded using approximately 120–150 grit sandpaper. The objective is to remove the gloss and create a suitable mechanical key for subsequent coatings.

  3. 3

    Remove Dust

Wipe away all sanding dust and loose residue.

    Details

After sanding, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned again. All sanding dust and loose residue must be removed before priming.

  4. 4

    Prime

Prime where required and let it dry fully.

    Details

Apply a high-quality primer with excellent adhesion characteristics that is suitable for the specific substrate. Allow the primer to dry fully in accordance with the primer manufacturer's instructions.

  5. 5

    Apply

Roll on Drench All-In-One. Two coats recommended.

    Details

Apply the first coat of Drench All-In-One evenly and allow it to dry fully. A second coat is strongly recommended to achieve a more consistent finish, improved coverage and a proper finishing coat. A third coat may provide an even better final result, particularly where the substrate is highly contrasting, porous, uneven or where maximum coverage and finish are required.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are typically delivered within 3–5 business days throughout Ireland and the UK. We dispatch directly from our manufacturing facility in Dundalk, Ireland to ensure fast and reliable delivery.

What makes DRENCH different from other paints?

Most paint brands require separate products for walls, woodwork, furniture, kitchens and exterior surfaces. DRENCH All In One Paint is specifically formulated to work across multiple surfaces, helping you complete entire projects with a single premium-quality product.

Is DRENCH Paint really suitable for both interior and exterior use?

Yes. DRENCH All In One Paint is designed for both interior and exterior applications, providing a durable, scrubbable and breathable finish across a wide range of surfaces.

What surfaces can DRENCH All In One Paint be used on?

DRENCH All In One Paint is suitable for:

  • Interior Walls & Ceilings
  • Exterior Walls
  • Masonry
  • Fences & Sheds
  • Skirting Boards & Trim
  • Furniture
  • Bathrooms
  • Kitchens & Cupboards
How durable is DRENCH Paint?

DRENCH Paint has been developed to provide a hard-wearing, long-lasting finish that stands up to everyday use. It is durable, scrubbable and designed for modern family living.

Is DRENCH Paint washable?

Yes. Once fully cured, DRENCH Paint forms a durable scrubbable finish that can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

How much paint do I need?

Approximate coverage per coat:

  • 2.5 Litre = up to 30m²
  • 5 Litre = up to 60m²
  • 10 Litre = up to 120m²

Coverage can vary depending on the surface, porosity and application method. We recommend using our Coverage Calculator before placing your order.

Why should I order enough paint for my project?

We strongly recommend ordering enough paint to complete your project in a single purchase.

While every batch is manufactured to strict quality standards, minor batch-to-batch variations can occur in all paint manufacturing. Colours will always be extremely close, however slight differences may be visible when touching up large painted areas using paint from a different production batch.

Ordering sufficient paint at the beginning of your project helps ensure complete colour consistency across all surfaces and allows you to keep a small amount aside for future touch-ups.

How many coats are recommended?

For most projects we recommend two coats for optimal colour depth, durability and coverage. Additional coats may be required on highly porous surfaces or when covering darker colours.

Do I need a separate primer?

In many situations, no separate primer is required. However, bare wood, heavily stained surfaces or difficult substrates may benefit from suitable preparation or priming before painting.

Can DRENCH Paint be used in kitchens and bathrooms?

Yes. DRENCH Paint is suitable for kitchens and bathrooms where a durable, washable finish is required.

Can I paint furniture with DRENCH Paint?

Yes. DRENCH Paint is suitable for furniture projects and provides a smooth, durable finish when applied to properly prepared surfaces.

Why did my order arrive in a metal paint tin instead of the plastic tub shown in the images?

To provide the best possible delivery experience, some online orders are supplied in durable metal paint tins.

After extensive testing, we found that metal tins withstand courier handling significantly better than plastic tubs, helping to prevent damage during transit. This also allows us to reduce unnecessary outer packaging.

Our branded plastic tubs remain available through many of our authorised retail stockists.

Do you offer trade pricing?

Yes. We welcome trade customers and offer dedicated trade support. Please visit our Trade section or contact us to discuss your requirements.
