Skirting Boards & Trim questions
Do I need to sand off old gloss?
You don't need to strip it, but key the surface with fine abrasive so the new coat can grip.
Can I use it on MDF trim?
Yes. On raw MDF edges, seal them first with a thinned coat and sand before the finish coats.
What sheen level is it?
A modern low sheen — quieter than gloss and far more forgiving on older woodwork.
Will it yellow over time?
No. Being water-based, it doesn't yellow the way traditional oil-based gloss does.
